4-3 Wetland Wastes

Komali really only wanted a better place to fish so OF COURSE she thought of water. She just didn't expect everything to be ALL water. In fact there were only two or three patches of tiny dry in an ocean of waist deep water with the occasional drop into a wet, dark, annoying blackness; certainly good for fishing, bad for cat fur. 

She would've complained as she waded but a splash from a fish instantly chased that away and she pursued it through the shallows, trampling herbs here and there. Now that she was really running through the area she was starting to notice it wasn't AS wet as she thought. There were even some chickens on the sand bars and the occasional rocky outcropping seemed especially promising. Not far off was a little bit of an island with scraggly trees (that were likely useless) and some big bison.
