| Persistent HP?!Starting 4th Stratum, HP and MP will no longer regenerate to full after battle. This will change a ton of elements in the game, especially in terms of strategy. Here are some important things to note about the mechanics now: HP/MP Recovery
- After Battle, you will recover HP equal to your HP regen and MP equal to 5 times your MP regen (so if you had 5% HP regen, recover 5% after battle, and then recover 5 MP if you had 1 MP regen).
- Item usage and healing spells between battles will become incredibly important. Be sure to stock up on potions and bring healers along.
- Wound Damage is special damage that prevents healing to full HP. (If you have 200 Max HP and take 50 Wound Damage, then you cannot heal past 150 HP).
- Use the Character Status Page (Can be found under Player > Status) to keep track of HP and MP.
- In town, you can use the Spirit Font to recover to full HP, MP, Wound Damage, and to Revive. However, you must expend 10% of your max IMG to do so.
- If your character rests overnight, then your character's HP and MP will restore and their Wound Damage will be healed.
KO'd?
- If your character becomes KO'd in battle and remains KO'd, you will have to use a Reviver to bring them back to consciousness afterward -- otherwise they get sent to town and become Fatigued (Meaning they can't venture out until they are revived or use the Spirit Font).
- If a character has the skill Average, they can revive to 1 HP after battle.
RP Implications
- Characters in town will not be affected by the persistent damage effects and can still die in town normally as they did before.
- The injuries a character sustains will disappear, but the pain or tiredness will persist (unless the character sustains Wound Damage, which leaves charred black marks on the body).
- When a character leaves an area badly injured and returns to town, the injuries are converted to fatigue/tiredness rather than pain. This is to stop characters from constantly being in pain. The tiredness is noticeable after 50% HP, with heavy fatigue kicking in at 10%. Although, it is not necessary to RP your character's current health condition. This is only for reference purposes.
