Sol lived in a world where war took its toll on the world. People who could afford it lived in domes and live as if the end of the world wasn’t happening around them. In the dangerous and in some cases radioactive wastes around these domes lived mankind’s most resilient humans and even animals.

These are known to dome dwellers as the barren dwellers. It may already be apparent but the two don’t exactly get along. The dome dwellers don’t care about the barrens and even go as far as to continue to dump harmful waste on the barrens. There are pockets of "Ve’re" out in the barrens. These places are where life is strongest, pockets of the planets life fighting its hardest to still drive. These places are of incredible value having the only untainted materials. They have ranged from the size of a small oasis to as large as a small town.

Some consider Ve’re to be holy land and as such there are many divided groups wanting to take it. From settlers, religious groups, raiders setting traps and worst of all the dome dwellers. They want to replenish their own materials and kill off the Ve’re in the process of taking it for themselves.

Most barren dwellers can’t face the domes defenses and security. They still maintain advanced tech that is incredibly rare to the outside world. They dominate, take and kill the barren dwellers as if their lives were worth nothing.

There were a few select groups of barren dwellers and Ve’re guardians that grew tired of the domes and after some shady tactics went down as the first group to take down a dome. Now equipped with their tech they plan to move on to each dome and reclaim their tech and use it to further the spread of the Ve’re.

This is where Sol comes in. He is a group that supports the restoration of the Ve’re. he uses his scavenging and mechanical skill to support his allies. He was one of the first to get into the fall of the first dome and his quick thinking took out a lot of explosives and security systems. He is a lead engineer and normally is only called in for items of interest or dealing with security.

When he caught wind of plans for a second dome assault it lit a fire in him and within the hour he was loaded up and ready. The assault had been in quiet planning for weeks and was just being spread about for the coming assault. Sol caught up with his usual unit and they all were geared and ready.

Sol was always at the back of the group. Both for the value of his skills and the fact he was loaded with explosives. Sol had the habit of spreading his skills which was risky but in their line of work and limited people to specialize in such things he was an asset.

The operation went on as planned. His unit was to make their way to one of the central power struts of the dome to hack and disable power in their wing. Things were going smoothly until it came to light over radio that there was a leak and the plan was compromised. This realization wasn’t made by talk but the screams, explosions and bullets that started coming in on every radio channel.

Sol and crew were running a bit ahead of time so it seems their resistance wasn’t in place yet so they made damn sure to make use of this time and do what they could. Upon arriving in the control room Sol started to manage the systems but were soon met with a level of heavy resistances that took them by surprise. They were pinned down in the control room, outnumbered at least 20 fold. They were making sure they didn’t make it out.

In cliché effort to relieve stress in what may be their final moments they began to remember their time together, their time before, ideals and dreams. Things they never actually talked of before, despite their time as a unit. Sol found himself unable to accept fate and put his neck on the line to get to the control panel. Unable to stand to work the panel he cracks open the underside and began to manually manipulate the system.

The core room had barriers that could freely move about for managing the heat it gives off. These barriers would be the way out. The down side to this is the fact that he has to work the panel and cant do so remotely. The team looked at him funny when he started laughing. When they asked what was so funny he could only reply that his new dream would be the last thing he does and will see it done. He was to make sure his team got out.

He pushed them and told them that he would catch up. They believed him and he smiled as they took position to head out. He started giving them their roots to take and after several incredibly stressful minutes managed to get across and into a series of halls that made escape a little easier as it funneled the enemy troops. Another group that took notice of the sporadic movements of the barrier made its approach to the control booth and opened fire.

At this point even if Sol intended to get out, it wasn’t going to happen. Luckily he was loaded with enough explosives and technical no how he could rig the core to meltdown and take the panel, the troops and most of the room with him to keep them from stopping it.

Sol rigged all of his explosives to go off in one minute. Enough time to let them get closer and for him to make a brief reflection. From his pocket he pulled out a small book and in it were a few still green leaves he had taken from the Ve’re. He could only hope that his efforts here will have some kind of payoff. He laughed. Laughed loud enough that in his mind it drowned out the gunfire... or maybe it was just the echoes of life’s end as the room went white with fire and noise just died... It never stopped being white. He still sat there, white all around. Even... he was white... and fluffy?

Cause of death: Self-sacrifice to finish a mission and assure the escape of his unit, died by explosive detonation.
Struggle: Time in endless space left him to think. Wondering if there was anything he could have done for a better outcome. Were his skills lacking? Could he have anticipated the attack? They had obviously been stabbed in the back and their frequencies hacked without notice. Could he have prevented any of it? He would have lost faith in his own skills leading to hesitant use of anything electronic. Even in a dire situation the second guessing for an unknown amount of time would have hindered his skill, his judgment, his trust. He wouldn’t know what to do.

Personality Points: Over thinks, stubborn, supportive, self-sacrificing.

Trivia: Sol originates from a sort of spirit animal of mines named Solaris who is a white wolf with blue streaks in his fur. Also the place Sol originates is the same as another character of mine but the two never have nor will ever cross paths. He has the habit of referring to nature as he did in his past life which is Ve’re. Ve’re is a play on the Spanish word Verde which means green.
